Painting the skies (Coloriamo i Cieli) is an international kite festival open to beginners as well as experts. It is held every year on the shores of Lake Trasimeno, on the grounds of Castiglione del Lago’s former airport.
The highlights of the event are the days of free flying, although the programme also includes activities like the kite exhibition, hot-air balloons, a film competition, trekking and mountain bike events, the Taste Lab (supported by the Slow Food Movement), music and much more.
