Elisse Pogofsky-Harris was born in Chicago and attended Michigan University where she received her Degree in Art. Her work has been strongly influenced by living and working in Rome, Italy for 12 years. Elisse has won many competitions and had many solo shows and has exhibited across the U.S.A. and Europe. Her highly acclaimed art is part of the collection of museums, corporations, universities and libraries, as well as many prestigious private collections.
Elisse lives in Ojai,California with her husband,Robert Brown. A few years ago, after missing Italy so much, Elisse and Robert purchased a wonderful Palazzo in Todi, Umbria, where they spend some months throughout the year and where Elisse works tirelessly with her artworks and recently held an exhibition of her “Italian Dreams” artworks at Monlleo Gallery in Santa Barbara, California, whilst Robert holds independent or joint exhibitions of his photographic work.
