Everyone visiting Rome during the Christmas season must take a trip to the Christmas Market, held in the beautiful Piazza Navona, with its wonderful fountains and famous Roman architecture provides an excellent setting for the celebrations. Indulge yourself in the atmosphere of the christmas market, you can buy gifts, jewellery, toys and not forgetting the seasonal sweets such as biscotti, chestnut, sugared apples, the famous torrone (nougat with almond and honey), panettone (traditional Italian cake), delicious liquors and a lot more.
Not forgetting to take time out to visit the eternal city with its ancient Roman remains and your breath will be taken away by the sheer awe of the spectacles of Rome and view the Nativity scene at the Vatican.
